WINGS OF JOY

Our Programs

At Wings of Joy, we believe true transformation comes from addressing the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. That’s why our programs go beyond healthcare alone, combining psychosocial support, vocational training, child protection, and environmental stewardship.

1. Integrated Health Services

Health is at the heart of what we do. Many of our participants face serious barriers — stigma, poor treatment adherence, opportunistic infections, and limited access to medical care. Our health program ensures that these challenges are addressed with compassion and consistency.

Key services include:

  • Psychosocial counseling and group therapy to help individuals cope with stigma, trauma, and mental health struggles.

  • Nutritional support for families facing food insecurity, ensuring better adherence to medication.

  • Medical facilitation and referrals so participants can access treatment and monitoring at health facilities.

  • Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) services, ensuring that babies are born HIV-free.

  • Home visits that allow our volunteers and health promoters to check on clients, strengthen family support, and provide care in real-life settings.

➡️ Impact: Over 1,200 people living with HIV/AIDS have received care, with over 90% achieving viral suppression.

3. Child Protection & Education

Children are at the heart of our mission. Many of the families we serve include orphans and vulnerable children who face hunger, lack of school supplies, and exposure to neglect or abuse. Wings of Joy ensures that these children have the support they need to thrive.

Our child-focused interventions include:

  • Education support through school fees, scholarships, and provision of learning materials.

  • Mentorship and psychosocial care that builds children’s confidence and self-esteem.

  • Child protection awareness programs that teach families and communities how to keep children safe.

  • After-school support through food, tutoring, and safe environments for learning.

➡️ Impact: Over 500 children have been supported through our programs, with increased school retention — especially among adolescent girls.
